Norval Nelson brings
a strong business background to the team. His
creativity and experience in public relations and
marketing, combined with his service and hospitality
background bring a diverse and valuable skill set
to the team and its clients. He moved to San
Jose in 1984 to become the General Manager of Red
Lion Hotel, now known as the Doubletree Hotel, and
in 1994 he opened the San Jose Hilton and Towers. Norval
spent several years in Nevada as Chief Executive
Officer of a large hotel, airline and casino corporation,
McClasky Enterprises. Back in the Bay Area
since 2000, Norval took a position managing a portfolio
of privately held real estate assets including single
family, multi-unit, apartment and a commercial property
with executive offices and public meeting space. He
has continued his community involvement since his
return to the Bay Area and serves as the President
of the Steinway Society. He is active with
the Downtown San Jose Rotary Club and the San Jose
Convention and Visitors Bureau’s marketing
committee. Norval resides with his wife, Eileen
Rothschild, in Saratoga.
